Novel Study to End the Year

We will be doing a novel study for the last three weeks of the school year.  Each scholar will be choosing a novel of their liking to read and analyze.  We have TONS of books at school available for the scholars, but if your scholar has one from home or wants one from the public library they may bring that to school as well.  It is extremely important that they have the book each day though so it needs to be something they can leave here or will remember to bring back.

We will begin this on Wednesday, May 27.

All students must have a novel by then-whether from school or home.

Scholastic also has great two day shipping if you want to order some books for your scholar.

Already May!

Where has the school year gone?  We cannot believe we are already at the progress report point of the 4th quarter.  Progress reports should be coming home either today or tomorrow.  These are midpoint grades.  Remember, students are given the opportunity to retake quizzes they struggle on.  Please remind your scholar to do that if needed!

iPads will be collected on Tuesday, May 26.  Students need to return their iPad and their school issued charger.  The past two days we’ve been checking iPads and chargers.  If your scholar still hasn’t brought their charger in to show a teacher, please have them do that.

That being said, all scholars need to be at 80 Achieve articles by May 26.

Student council has organized a book drive for Children’s Hospital!  If you have any slightly used or new books, please have your scholar bring them in!
